• When i try to view my comments at-
    https://kompressaur.com/wordpress/?p=49#comments

(for example, it happens with all comments)

I get this error message instead of the comment-

Warning: comments_template(): Unable to access /mounted-storage/home4/sub002/sc11766-LGLB/www.kompressaur.com/wordpress/wp-content/themes/default/comments.php in /mounted-storage/home4/sub002/sc11766-LGLB/www.kompressaur.com/wordpress/wp-includes/comment-functions.php on line 29

    All help appreciated

    thanks

  • You removed the default theme directory, correct?

Any theme which does not include certain templates — for example, comments.php — will automatically use the ones from the default theme. To rectify this, you can either:

    1. Reupload the default theme.

    2. Grab comments.php from the default theme and place it in your current theme’s directory.

Thanks Kafka that worked a treat. Another thing ive noticed is that with most themes ive tried for some reason all my links and catogaries all appear at the BOTTOM of my page instead of alongside it. Is this a common problem? I like the anarchy 1.1 theme and cant see me changing it but i would be interested to know whats wrong if i do ever fancy a channge one day.

    Thanks again

First thing, it’s a good idea to start a new topic when bringing up an unrelated issue. That way it’s less likely to get lost in the noise, others who may be following along (or coming across thread for help) are not confused by the change of topic, and so on.

    Is this a common problem?

    *Very* common:

    https://www.ads-software.com/search/sidebar+bottom?forums=1

In the threads from the search results you’ll find a number of explanations and solutions, but the two most typical are:

    * Images in posts conflicting with the sidebar elements.

    * Bad positioning or improper use of float in the css.

    And please, call me Kaf.
