Comments submission process taking too long…………

    HI ! Everybody,

    The comment submission process is taking too long on my site. However, it does submit comments successfully but returns this message after submission,

    Sorry, the page your requested could not be found, or no longer exists.

    Rather than the usual,

    Your comments has been successfully submitted and is awaiting moderation.

    The submission process takes almost a minute and half to complete.
    The submission is instant when i comment logged in as an Admin user.

    Guys shed some light on this, tired of googling around and WP forum.
    + Cleaned up all orphaned tables from database.
    + Checked the “Discussion” tab under settings,everything seems OK .

  • Have you tried resetting your permalinks to the default setting (or deleting the .htaccess file in your root WP folder) and then re-building your custom permalink structure? Sometimes the rewrite rules need a good clearout.

    Solved this by unticking ,

    * Notify by mail when user submits new comment + another similar one.

    in the Discussion tab under settings.
