Comments Text Area

I’m having a problem with IE users (yes I’m one of them too. hiss boo. *lol*) when leaving comments that the text area for comments expands infinitely to the right with no scrollbar. I saw something in the forum about an overflow tag. Would that correct the problem in IE and where do I place it in the CSS file?
