comments visible on the blog page or “back” butt

hi,
i would like to have the comments area, which usally only appears after you click on “X comments”, be visible all the time.
this mainly because, although you can “enter” the comments area, there is no “back” or “close comments” link – which i find not very ergonomic.
any ideas how to do this (or how to make a “close comments” link?)
