• Would like to add a blog that when visitors go to it they can leave a comment/testimonial without having to go through a post.

Tried adding a testimonial page but you then have to access it separately and I didn’t see a way to make comments.

  • You cannot have comments on a WordPress Page, only on a post.

Actually, you can – you just need a Page template that calls the comments template into it.

Where can I find how to do this with the Page Template? I’m not seeing any link to a template on my blog.

No, you don’t and you will not.
You go and read the documentation: scroll up and click on the DOCS.

Pages – just to make it faster…

    My apologies.

moshu — my hero (and you’ve helped out a friend of mine, to whom I’d also given incorrect advice). I haven’t had to do this before, but I bet we can specify a page template that only loads for a single page. Must look into that.

Yep. If you have at least 2 [two] Page templates (i.e. the default page.php +another) then in the Write PAge subpanel you will have on the right an option to select the Page template.

I can write a page and I see how to create a template but how do I then allow visitors to make comments?

    Read it again.
