comments_number not tabulating after blogger import

Hi everyone. I performed an import from Blogger including comments. The comments appear on each post but the comments_number does not tabulate them – it returns 0.

If a new comment is made on the post then the comments_number tabulates properly and returns the proper number.

Has anyone seen this? Any idea where I can look for resolution?
