• I am trying to figure out how the comments_popup_link php tag is calling the alt attribute. Whenever you hover over where it says “1 Comment” (for example), the alt attribute comes up saying “Comment on (fill in post title here)”. I am looking to get rid of the alt attribute altogether so when you do the hover nothing comes up. Where would I go to change this?

I hope I’m making sense and someone can help me out. Thanks.

I’m sure somebody out there can help me with this. Anyone?

It’s the ‘title’ attribute on line 763 of the comments-template.php file in WordPress 2.5.1.

What you want to do is a hack to the program code, which is never ‘best practice’, and removing ‘title’ or ‘alt’ attributes hampers accessibility, also not recommended. I located it with a text editor doing a keyword search on my WordPress folder.
