commercial purposes

  • Hello
    I am currently developing a template for a program and would like to include WP as the news back end script. Now I am planning to sell this Template to various companies and was wondering how to go about dealing with wordpress? I know its open source and such and thats fine, actually best.
    do I need a license, permission?
    if its totally out of league can anyone else suggest a news script of such high caliber?

  • If you use WordPress as the back end, you are bound by the GPL license.

    Alright cool. I will wait a bit longer to ehar from a programmer or someone in charge. I am not selling WP. i am selling a cpanel theme that i have developed. and offering to install wp for the use of a news script for free. they can use any program they want but personaly I am a huge fan of WP.
