• I am planning to run a commercial wordpress multisite network on a dedicated server running cPanel at work.

1 – I would like to know from all of you out there if there is anyone already doing this successfully on a cPanel environment. I already figured all the steps out to do this with user’s own domains (and not only subdomains) but I thought the website activation process is too complex for a commercial standpoint. Is there anyone out there doing this on an automated way?

2 – I realized you can only have a single storage (upload) limit per wordpress multisite install, I was wondering how could I sell different packages like 1 GB, 5 GB and 10 GB upload space. Do I need to have a different wordpress multisite installation for each quota?

    Looking forward you guys replies.

    Thanks in advance.

    1. Yes. I’m doing it. I use wildcard subdomains (in cpanel it’s as easy as making a subdomain of * point to /public_html/). Mapped domains I do for ’em, it’s a pain.

    2. Nope, you can do it with Multisite. Each site can have a separate upload parameter. Go to WP Admin -> Network -> Sites. Hover over a site and click Edit. Go to the Option tab. Look for “Blog Upload Space” and edit as needed.
