• We have WooCommerce PayPal Payments installed and are using this as our payment method. However when doing this the Affiliate does not get credit for the sale.

However when using a payment method like Direct Bank Transfer etc. it all works as expected. So it is because of the PayPal payment method that the Affiliate cookie isn’t being used as part of the order.

How do we fix this issue?

    Hello there,
    we hope you’re doing well!

Unfortunately, in this free version payment via Paypal is not available, we are sorry. This is a feature of the premium version. We leave you the link to the documentation, where you can find the differences between both versions, in case you want to take a look.

If you have any other questions, feel free to contact us.

    Have a nice day!

    Hi Juan,

Thanks for the reply. I thought the paid version was only for paying commissions through PayPal. Not receiving sales in Woocommerce with PayPal payments and having the order be recorded as coming from an Affiliate?
The documentation doesn’t mention this at all and I am worried the paid version will have the same issue. Shouldn’t all orders through Woocommerce regardless of payment method be being associated with the Affiliate when they come through the link?

    Hello there,
    sorry for the delay.

Sorry, I thought you mentioned commission payments and not regular WooCommerce sales.

Do you have the latest version of the plugin installed? We have installed WooCommerce PayPal Payments and have made a purchase on our premises from a referral link, and the commission has been generated successfully. I send you a screenshot from WeTransfer for you to check:

This order, in what state is it? Because if it is not in the Processing/Completed state, the commission will not be generated.

If all this is fine on your part, we recommend you do the following to check what is causing the problem:

    – Change your theme to a default WooCommerce theme such as 2022.
    – If the problem persists, leave only WooCommerce and both plugins active, and check if the problem persists. If not, activate your plugins in batches to determine which one is causing the problem.

Let us know any news, please.
