Hi, i’m following the doc (here: https://wpjobmanager.com/customization-snippets/#prefillcomplogo) to pre-fill the company logo on the Post a Job Page. But it doesn’t seems to be working for me. I have also found a similar thread but no hope at all (https://www.ads-software.com/support/topic/post-a-job-pre-populate-company-details/).

When i print_r the fields array in the submit_job_form_fields custom function, i can see the value i set there,

But the problem is that no image is getting displayed on the preview section. Also for a user already posted a job, i noticed that, there is a hidden field with the attachment id of the logo being added to the form. But here, the hidden field is missing too.

Here’s what one of our developers said:

It runs this code ( https://github.com/Automattic/WP-Job-Manager/blob/master/includes/forms/class-wp-job-manager-form-submit-job.php#L553 ) if the user is logged in. In other words, when logged in the logo comes from user meta. If there is no user meta value it returns 0, so the logo URL ends up being 0 as well.

A bit further down, the data is run through a different filter ( https://github.com/Automattic/WP-Job-Manager/blob/master/includes/forms/class-wp-job-manager-form-submit-job.php#L563 ).

The snippet can be adjusted by adding:
add_filter('submit_job_form_fields_get_user_data', 'dm_prefill_company_logo');

which will handle the logged in case.

add_filter('submit_job_form_fields', 'dm_prefill_company_logo'); will handle the not logged in case.

I’ll adjust our published snippet. Let me know if that solves it for you!

Okay, this filter actually prints the value to the DOM. But the value is getting truncated. I’m using get_avatar_url(get_current_user_id()) which gives the full path pointing to the image, but i’m getting only the last part of this path, which is the name of the image. Also, the img tag is missing. What i’m getting now is the img_name enclosed within a code tag. like in the previous filter, var-dumping is giving the absolute url.

This is the output for an account which already posted a job with a logo,

This is the output for an account applying for it’s first application,

Ok, and what happens if you don’t use get_avatar_url and just pop in a straight URL?

Yes, when i put an absolute url of an image statically, the image is displayed. But when using the above mentioned function the url is truncated as mentioned above. When vardumping i’m getting absolute URL on both case, which means the function would pass an absolute URL there. What might be the issue here ?

Hi! So the problem is that the url that is generated by this method call ends up with the argument ?1569909184 in the end:

https://lusciouslawn.com/wp-content/uploads/ultimatemember/68/profile_photo-190×190.jpg?1569909184

In order for this to work the url should end with the name of the file like that:
https://lusciouslawn.com/wp-content/uploads/ultimatemember/68/profile_photo-190×190.jpg

I don’t know why there’s the ?1569909184 but it must be something specific to your setup.

Yeah, removing that timestamp string from the url works fine. The image is displaying now. But have no idea how that is getting appended to the url path.
