Compatibility issue with jQuery Accordion menu plugin

Hi,

I have a problem with jQuery Vertical Menu plugin when using Responsive child theme. The same issue is when I switch to Responsive. But, it does not happen when I switch to some other, TwentyTwelve for example.
I tried to disable all plugins and it didn’t help. I like Responsive so I would like to try to keep going with it.

You can try for yourself if you click in a sidebar menu item BALOONS. When you click on it, instead of pushing all other items down and expand BALOONS sub-menu, it overlays them. Aside of that it reacts on hover event, despite the fact menu plugin is configured to respond only on click event. If you could help I would appreciatte it.
