There is a compatibility problem with the Beaver Builder plugin and the Ocean Extra plugin. A client alerted me to the fact that all pages using Beaver Builder were showing a blank page, despite having content added. When I deactivated the Ocean Extra plugin all the content came back. I’m using Ocean Extra 2.20 and Beaver Builder(Lite) 2.7.2.1. I also tried to roll both plugins back to earlier versions (at different times) but the problem still happened. I’ve had to leave the Ocean Extra plugin deactivated for now but that causes other issues with the way the site displays so would really like to find a solution to this asap.

    Hello @caroh,

I fully examined the issue you have raised on this topic and was unable to replicate it on my end(on a fresh WP installation), and no similar issues have been reported by other users to this moment.

Unfortunately, the information provided in this thread in regards to the problems you are facing are insufficient for troubleshooting purposes and a possibility to understand the reason why this is happening on your end.

Kindly share the following info that could help us understand the issue you described better and hopefully help you resolve it:

    1. Detailed explanation of the issue you are experiencing; when did you first notice the problem occurring (after a particular update, using a specific device, etc), as well as the steps of you take that trigger the issue in case the problem is not constantly present on your website, especially on the frontend. You can attach screenshots or a short video of the issue.

    2. Explain to us step by step how we can reproduce the issue so we can recreate it somewhere other than your website.
You can upload your files using one of the following online services:
    https://postimages.org
    https://imgbb.com
    https://loom.com
    https://drive.google.com

    3. Kindly provide us with your system environment information. Please navigate to WP Dashboard > OceanWP > OceanWP Panel > System Info: https://i.postimg.cc/0QZrGq46/system-info.png.

You can send the information as code here or upload them to https://pastebin.com/ and get an exclusive link.

    4. Enable WordPress debugger and recheck the issue, when you see the error, then check the debug file, and send the error messages here as code or on pastebin. To see the error and enable the debug file, please follow the steps explained in this link: https://www.ads-software.com/documentation/article/debugging-in-wordpress/.

Before sending these, please make sure that:
Everything on your website is running the latest versions (WP, theme, plugins).
If possible, perform a basic troubleshooting checkup method and make sure the issue is related to our theme or plugin(s). To do this, deactivate all other plugins then activate them one by one and check for this issue. Continue doing this until you find out what product is causing a conflict with our product. Then provide the details as explained above.

Note: If you have any cache plugin or server cache(CDN / Browser Cache and Cookies and …), you need to clear its cache contents or disable them to see your changes.

    Please keep us posted.
    Thank you,
    Best Regards

Thank you for getting back to me. Interesting you are unable to replicate the problem with those two plugins. It is strange because everything was working fine and neither plugin was updated at that time so something else must have happened. My client was editing the site at the time so I’m checking with her to find out what exactly was done just before it happened. I already tried deactivating all the other plugins and found that it is only the Ocean Extra plugin that is causing the Beaver Builder plugin not to work. Once Ocean Extra is deactivated Beaver Builder works fine. We do have a backup so may resort to restoring that even though a lot of work was done on the site since the last backup so it’s not the ideal option. I’ll keep you posted. Thanks.

Hi, just an update to let you know this issue has been resolved. I went into the page that was being edited at the time the problem occurred, opened Beaver Builder, made a small change and saved it. Then went back and activated the Ocean Extra plugin and it’s all working fine – no blank pages. I don’t know what caused it but the solution was very simple in the end – like turning it on and off again!
