Compatibility issues and themes

  • I’m new to the world of blogging and having installed WordPress, I’ve been trying to find a theme to download for my photo blog, The one that I like is called “Spotless”, but I suspect that the designer has moved onto other things since the corresponding forum has had no queries answered since the end of last year.

    In one of the write-ups it states that it is compatible for WordPress versions 1.5 to 2.7. And I have wordpress 2.8.4

    So, could anybody tell me if the theme will work OK in 2.8.4?

  • there`s no way of knowing this. simply install and activate the theme and click around, looking for errors.

    Can I assume that if I install the theme and I can’t get it to work that I can delete it without any unwanted side effects?

    sure.
    go to Appearance – Themes (left column of the Admin), activate your theme, play around. if you don`t like it, activate the current one or the default theme.

    the theme does not change the WordPress core in any way.
