Compatibility with a “featured image from URL”

Thank you for this plugin. I’ve been using it for a while now however it doesn’t seem to be fully compatible with this ‘featured image from URL’ plugin which passes the image in as an external URL.

Please see the example page on the attached website – scroll down to the very bottom and the issue is seen at the bottom right. The image which is from an external URL is not resized to the thumbnail size of the regular images.

Is there a way I can assign custom coding to resolve this?
