Compatibility With Email Subscribers

    Hi,

    This is Malay Ladu from Icegram.

    We have received lots of requests regarding compatibility issue with BuddyForms.

    Let me explain you exact issue. It will help you to understand the exact issue and find out the solution as well.

    Email Subscribers allows you to set up Post Notification based on Post Categories. So, whenever any Post is published in selected categories, it will send out Post Notification to people.

    So, whenever users try to submit post using BuddyForms frontend post submission feature, It will get published but Post Categories are saving after post is save.

    So, in this process, Post Notification is not triggered as categories are not saved yet.

    We are targeting ‘transition_post_status’ action to check whether post is published or not. But, in that hook we are getting only default post category set.

    So, it would be great if you can save Post categories like WordPress is setting post categories. This small change will make Email Subscribers compatible with BuddyForms and user can use without any issue.
