I am testing Nextgen Gallery 2.0 in a test environment before updating my live site. I have found that while the EWWW plugin is active, Nextgen Gallery stops uploading files with an “Http Error.” It doesn’t appear to give any further details about the error.

Will this plugin work with Nextgen Gallery 2.0 at some point in the future? I understand that this was a major overhaul of Nextgen Gallery.

Please let me know if I can be of any assistance.

    Thanks Scott

Yes, I’ll have to take a look at the changes and see what they did. Not quite sure what could give an http error, since we don’t return any output during uploads. Unless it is towards the end end where we dump out the html to optimize thumbs. Anyway, it’ll work at some point, but it will be a while, could be a month or more.

As a workaround, you may be able to just deactivate the plugin while uploading, and then reactivate and run a bulk optimize afterwards on the new images.

Thanks for the reply. I do not trust that the “Http Error” is truly accurate information being reported back from Nextgen Gallery 2.0.

I am not planning to upgrade to Nextgen Gallery 2.0 for some time. It appears they have quite a few bugs to work through judging by the activity in the support queue. I also found that none of the plugins that I use in reference to Nextgen Gallery currently work. I am attempting to retrofit a couple of abandoned plugins that I like the features of, and no other plugin have. ??

Thanks for continuing the effort with integration with to Nextgen Gallery 2.0, as they totally gutted and recreated the plugin structure from the ground up.

    Thanks
    Scott

nextgen 2 support is finished in the latest ‘dev’ release, going to let it bake for a couple days (do some testing, and make sure I didn’t miss something)
