Compatibility with qTranslate X

Hi,

Does anybody know how to set two different Facebook and Twitter images (og:image and twitter:image) for two different languages?

For example EN and DE. I want to have different versions of images for both languages, using Yoast SEO plugin.

Using [:en]img_url_en.png[:de]img_url_de.png doesn’t work. When I click ‘Save’ the Facebook image field under Yoast SEO settings becomes empty.

Can somebody help me?

I have a feeling you’ve landed on an incorrect forum, as this plugin doesn’t have a custom field for images. Also, this topic is over 5 months old and we might be bothering baga. So next time, could you open a new support topic? ??

But to answer your question:
With the way qTranslate is designed, this is not possible without custom integration. I’m afraid you’ll need to switch to a translation plugin that handles different posts for different languages, which can be an expensive operation.
So it’s easiest to stick to a global image :).
