Compatibility with upcoming SHA-256 upgradation at PayPal

  • I need a clarification please. I received a message from PayPal 2 days ago regarding their upgradation to SHA-256. During communications, they mentioned that while PayPal doesn’t require SSL certification post upgradation on 30th September 2016, I need to check, in their words, if the plugin

    1. Is sending API request to PayPal, you may need to ensure the server are supporting.
    2. If the button includes notify_url, then you may need to apply all the changes to ensure the IPN services work.

    Please guide me if this plugin will be compatible with their SHA- 256 upgradation post 30th September 2016 or if some extra work is required at my end.
