Hi, we are thinking of installing the professional version of the “Converter for Media – Optimize images” plugin on our website. There we have installed your plugin so that our customers can upload files to customize the products we sell and we have doubts about whether the installation of this plugin would affect your plugin.

We wouldn’t want the files uploaded from the frontend by customers to be affected by WebP or AVIF compression and I decided to check first.

I look forward to hearing from you, the plugin is going great so far! However, the autodelete of temporary files doesn’t work very well and in the hosting we have a temporary folder with thousands of images that we have to delete manually.

    Greetings!

    Hello @kinharo ,

Regarding the Converter for Media – Optimize images I’m not entirely sure about this plugin’s functionality. It appears to convert only images stored in the media library, and I’m uncertain if this would impact our plugin since our files are located outside of the media library.

Regarding the auto deletion this will delete only the files inside “/wc_drag-n-drop_uploads/temp_uploads”.

The auto deletion is being handled by WordPress schedule cron that run every 1 hour.

Please let me know if you have any other question.

    Glen

Hello again, I’ve been digging and, at least in the free version, the plugin would affect everything inside the uploads, including the /wc_drag-n-drop_uploads/ subfolder where images are saved per orders and the temporary subfolder. I will ask the developer if it is possible to exclude folders in the free or pro version. thanks! I will come back with new information ??
