Hello Zulfikar, first thank you for this plugin which solves tons of questions on handling twenty fourteen.

But therre’s a question that needs your help! The compatibility of this plugin with woo commerce.
The woo commerce plugin creates a new “set” of posts that are atcually the products, so they stay into a different page than regular posts.

The right widgets side bar is visible in ALL the website pages EXCEPT the woo commerce page. As you can see on ivygioielli.com in this moment.

My other website (filati.fm) have woocommerce page showing the widget exactly like input into Display_widgets plugin.

The only different plugin between this site and the other is only fuorteen extended so I hope we can find a solution to this issue.

    Thanks, and best, Alessandro

    Hello Alessandro,

I’ve not tested the plugin with WooCommerce yet.

Could you please provide me with your current Fourteen Extended set options so I can use the data for testing?

The right widgets side bar is visible in ALL the website pages EXCEPT the woo commerce page. As you can see on ivygioielli.com in this moment.

From checking the pages and source code I can not see either of the sidebar being active on any of the pages – am I missing something?

    Zulf

    I couldn’t wait ??
so adjusted something, that’s why you can’t see the right widget bar now.

now, I set the widget (cart) to be displayed in shop online AND News pages. I do this by using the plugin “display widgets”.

Now you can’t see the widget side bar into the page shop online, but you can see it in news. Thi is ok for the news only, while I need to make it work into the shop online page. At least only there.

To do so with the Extended plugin I need to set shop online like the blog page, which is not! Also, it’s a mess to put products and news together.

It’s because woo commerce creates a “different” set of posts, so the theme or its plugin should allow to set separately the two posts pages: real posts page and product page.

This is the set options I have saved now:
    Title and motto not displayed
disable the plugin css output UNFLAGGED
    GENERAL:
    Center Align UNFLAGGED
    Remove the featured UNFLAGGED
    Overall site 1260
    Float primary menu: Default Right
    Remove primary (left) sidebar FLAGGED
    Overall content 800
    Overall content image 600
    post 100% span UNFLAGGED
    remove bkgrnd img FLAGGED
    CONTENT OPTIONS:
All boxes UNFLAGGED except : Check to remove white space above content
    Content max width 474
    MOBILE: FLAGGED and option GRID
    OPTIONAL SCRIPTS:
    all UNFLAGGED
    NAVIGATION:
secondary menu undefined (i don’t need and didn’t even create)
    STATIC PAGE:
home page show: STATIC PAGE (Gioiello fatto a mano pietre naturali diamanti anelli bracciali design unico | Ivy Gioielli)
    post page: news
I think that’s all you need. In case you need content and slider’s option let me know.
    thank you, bye!

    Hello Alessandro,

I’ve set up a test site here: https://woocommerce.wpdefault.com/ and do not see any issues with the WooCommerce pages after having applied the Fourteen Extended settings provided.

I have the Widgets Display plugin installed with the default settings with no issues as well. I’d suggest checking the settings of your display logic for the widgets you have active – especially the show/hide for logged-in/logged-out users.

    Great!
there was an issue concerning the logged/in users, and a BIG mess in the cache, that I didn’t even considered. I solved with Quick Cache plugin that seems to be the best also for transposh plugin.
    Thank you for your help!

Awesome Alessandro – glad we got that sorted ??

Closing thread as resolved but feel free to ask if you need further assistance.

    Zulf

    Zulf,
I installed and activated the FE plugin in WP but
    1. I can’t seem to find it anywhere in the sidebars or under any menu item. And,
    2. I have no clue as to how to use this thing.

Can you advise as to why i can’t seem locate it anywhere and, also can point me to any tutorial or how-to docs. Otherwise, I am completely in the cold in the remote areas of Siberia. ??

    Hello Siberia,

All of the plugin’s options can be found in the theme Customizer section which you can reach by navigating to Appearance >> Customize.

No how to docs up yet but you are always welcome to ask questions over at https://wpdefault.com/forums/forum/fourteen-extended/

    Regards,
    Zulf
