Compatibility with Wordfence

I like Total Security, but I also want something that will block botnets and the like, so I installed Wordfence. So far, most things work correctly, but the Total Security Vulnerability Scan gets the IP address locked out. Specifically, the error message is odd:
A user with IP address [IP address removed] has been locked out from the signing in or using the password recovery form for the following reason: Exceeded the maximum number of login failures which is: 8. The last username they tried to sign in with was: ”
Notice that the login username is blank? I don’t understand, and I don’t know who owns this one. There is a workaround, but it involves whitelisting IP addresses, which is not ideal.
