    Hello Johan,

Compliments on an excellent plugin. Good job!

Please can you confirm that the plugin is compatible with 5.4? Any known issues?

Which leads me to a secondary question…

How far on the horizon do you see your plugin, considering the emergence of Gutenberg blocks?

Do you see any chance of WordPress trying to squeeze plugins such as yours, to “force” folks towards Gutenberg?

I assume (and hope) that your plugin will continue to work as a shortcode, despite Gutenberg and/or the movement away from the classic editor.

Thanks for your time and efforts.

    Cheers,

    Herby

    Hello Herby,

The plugin is fully compatible with WordPress 5.4, I have just updated the readme.txt to reflect this.

Unfortunately I have not had time yet to learn how to create Gutenberg blocks, but I will definitely make the content blocks available in the Gutenberg editor (while keeping all shortcode functionality).

I think it will be very useful for sites that have many content blocks to seamlessly switch to content blocks in Gutenberg instead of in shortcodes.

I have made the code repository available on Github so others can contribute to the plugin. It would be great if someone could give me some pointers on how to get started with Gutenberg development ?? https://github.com/vanderwijk/custom-post-widget

    Best wishes,

    Johan
