    Hi Arthurpeace,

Sorry for taking so long to get back to you about this question.

We just released a new version (1.3) that now also supports JPEG compression like smush.it via TinyJPEG.

During testing i activated both WP smush.it and Compress for WP and found some interesting results.

If both plugins are activated and their automatic upload compression is enabled then Compress for WP will attempt to compress JPEG/PNG images first. If successful WP smush.it will then report no savings and not compress the image further.

If both plugins are activated and only WP smush.it’s automatic upload compression is enabled then JPEG/PNG images will be first compressed via smush.it for a small gain in compression. But through the media library those images could be further compressed via Compress for WP for even more gain in compression.

TLDR; yes this plugin can work side by side with WP Smush.it, though if you want to compress via both plugins you will have to run it through WP smush.it first then Compress for WP. Not recommend though as Compress for WP now supports all of WP smush.it’s file formats except GIFs with better compression gain.
