I just downloaded and activated this plugin and it welcomes me with this message:

You are using a version of WP Staging which has not been tested with your WordPress version 4.4.2.
As WP Staging is using crucial db and file functions it’s important that you are using a WP Staging version
which has been verified to be working with your WordPress version. You risk unexpected results up to data lose if you do not so.
Please look at https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/wp-staging/ for the latest WP Staging version.

I am going to use it anyway as it’s a new site so no harm done if it won’t work or will break something, I’ll report back if I have issues regarding this message.

    > WP Staging > Start welcomes me with this message:

WordPress Multisite is currently not supported!

Tried from both network and main site.

How long time would you guess until your plugin will be wpms ready?

    Hello Dennis,

what WP version are you using?

    About your second question:
For WP multisites there is no estimated time arrival.

    Hi Rene,

I am using 4.4.2. I installed on wpms but will use it on 2 single installs soon.

So far this is the simplest solution I’ve found and doesn’t require a second wp install.

Thats weird. You should not see the message when you are using WP 4.4.2

Please go to WP Staging->Tools->system info and send me the log to support [at] wp-staging.com

    Hi Rene,

This message is gone, yesterday I deactivated the plugin as I could not use it on multisite, today I reactivated without this notice.

Installed on a single install without any warnings and it seems to work, currently, it is still copying files.

I think you should make the wpms version a premium feature, I’ll buy it ??

    Hi Dennis,

thanks for the kind words and your feedback.
There was a small bug in the last version which i recently fixed. Thats why the message is gone.

    > I think you should make the wpms version a premium feature, I’ll buy it ??

Nice to hear, I will see what i can do ??

Let me know if there’s anything else I can do for you—I’m happy to help.

    Rene,

when there is a “must have” plugin and it’s free, too often they lack proper support, by time and too often, they end up abandoned, the dev needs to bring food on his table and we all know, “free” won’t bring food on any table!

In such situation, when plugin gets outdated, it can be time-consuming searching for a replacement plugin and make the site functional again!

I give up on free plugins long time ago, unless they have:
    A: a premium version
B: a long reputation of proper support and a huge userbase

Therefore, I vote for the premium version of this plugin ??

I take your vote serious and wish all user would share the same thoughts. Developing such a plugin costs a lot of time and i am glads when someone like you is aware of this. I really appreciate it. (That’s not just a simple phrase for me)
