Compatible with Azure?

I am trying to activate Revisr on a wordpress site hosted on Microsoft Azure. After installing and activating the plugin, all I see afterwards is a message that Revisr could not detect Git on the server, and to point to the Git directory manually.
1) I know that Git definitely IS installed on all Azure websites, but to be 100% sure I actually activated a Git repo for my specific site. There is definitively a hidden “.git” folder in the www root of the site.
2) I can’t point to the .git folder no matter what I try ?? maybe I’m not understanding the syntax, but given that the hidden .git folder is in the root of the site (alongside index.php, wp-content, etc etc), what is the syntax for pointing to it in the plugin? Should it not be “/.git” (that didn’t work)?Thanks!
