    Hi there!

I’m using an image map plugin called ImageMapper and wondered if your plugin is compatible with it. It’s based on ImageMapster. Imagemapper is not responsive, it seems, with Canvas but it works fine with the Mobile Theme module in Jetpack. Jetpack, though, in turn conflicts with Canvas. It seems that this plugin (Responsive Image Maps) doesn’t work either with this plugin or with my responsive theme, WooThemes Canvas. The plugin author seems to have dropped off the face of the earth for a few months, WooThemes support can’t help, and I’m not a WordPress developer. Can anyone help?

By the way, Jetpack’s mobile theme module seems to solve the responsiveness issue with the Imagemapper plugin, but then partly breaks Canvas’s displays, so I’m not using Jetpack’s module anymore. Just see if that helps.

As the description states, this plugin simply packages the RWD Image Maps jQuery plugin for use on WordPress sites, and does not contain any functionality on its own. If you are having issues with the jQuery plugin (not the WordPress wrapper), you should post in the RWD Image Maps issue tracker on GitHub.

I am considering utilizing a jpg image map of a particular state divided by counties. In a prior static project I brought the map into dreamweaver and used the hot spot tool to create a separate hot spot for each county with a corresponding link to display a page filled with information about each county.

In this new project the theme is mobile responsive, therefore I am reading that the hot spot tool method won’t work because the coordinates are fixed and the various mobile devices will not function properly for each county when the the resized map is displayed in a fluid mobile device screen.

Philip seems to have the solution, but my question is — will Philip’s plugin give the jpg map and its corresponding hot spot to resize appropriately for ipad, tablet, and mobile phone viewers so those viewers can click or touch their respective screens and gain the appropriate linked hot spot page load with each separate county information?
