I think you are mistaking the WordPress archive page to archive (from the compression world). If you are looking for a backup of your wife’s site, you can use a plugin like BackupWP. This will give you a database dump (with the posts, categories, pages etc.) plus a backup of the wordpress folders (you can look into /wp-content/ to see your themes, uploaded images etc.
