I have a client in which their website got compromised with a lot of payday seo spam. Running a scan found a ton of .htm files that were clearly spam. However, this not being my first rodeo, i can see that there are other files that are compromised…various index.php files in the root of directories that have malicious php code in it.

After running a couple of complete scans, these other .php files aren’t being picked up by the scanner. What am i missing or what could be going on? I’ve also donated to get all the full features of this plugin, so i’m not sure what’s going on. In the past, it’s been EXTREMELY thorough in scans, but now seems to be missing some pretty obvious things. Can you please help?

    Thanks,

    Josh

I need to see these new threats so I can add them to my definition updates. can you send me those files with malicious code in them that the scanner is missing?

You can email the infected files directly to me: eli AT gotmls DOT net
