• This is my first hit at Multi-site . It was installed via a one click app on a fresh domain/hosting using sub folders. So I installed via the network several plug ins, i only saw an option to ‘network activate’ the plug ins, so I did that. But when i go to the site I created, and go to plug ins, only some of them show there. I’m confused :/ Am I supposed to be able to view the plug ins on the individual sites? If not, how do I know that they are active there? Why are some showing and some not?

    Thanks

Network Activate means a plugin is turned on for all sites.

You should never network activate everything, only things that must be active for everyone.

To enable the plugin panel, go to the network admin, click on settings, and scroll down to ‘enable admin pages’ – there’s a checkbox for plugins.

so if i network activate a security plug in it will be effective for all sites automatically, correct?

I inherited a multi-site WP site. I don’t see how I can go to the network admin. I am logged in as an administrator but don’t see anything that says network admin. Any help would be awesome!

It depends, it may not be compatible with multisite.

Network activated plugins are not listed in blog’s plugin list, you’re probably seeing those that are not network activated.

    https://yourdomain.tld/wp-admin/network/

You’ll need to use Super Admin credentials to access that.
