Completely confused… advice and moral support required

  • Hi there,

    So I’ve got my WordPress installed, all working perfectly.

    I was so excited to get into it, until I actually got into it.

    I’ve got a good idea of what I want to do, I’d made some PSD’s of how I wanted it to look, and fired up the Codex with the intention of starting from the top (literally… the header) and working my way through it.

    Minutes later I’m completely stuck.

    Could anyone point me in the direction of a good tutorial on creating a WP layout, or maybe make some pointers on getting started.

    I’m fluent in HTML / CSS and I thought I understood the basic workings of PHP but obviously not enough to understand WordPress. I mean I can recognize how it’s calling files to use for the header/footer/comments etc etc but putting it all together is proving very tricky.

    Help please!
