I have done this twice. Deleted the plugin, gallery folder, ngg style folder, and even found photos on the uploads folder. Deleted all of it. Fresh install and the galleries—minus the images are there.

I have uploaded over 650 images in 40+ albums and four wouldn’t work even though the images have been there. I had experienced a loss of Internet connection and so wanted to start from scratch. This is the second time a site I’m working on has troubles when there are albums. And I’ve been through all the plugin compatibility checks.

Really like to know how to erase to try it again. What other files are hidden? Feels like a mac thing where you have to find the hidden preferences folder in the hidden library. ??

    thanks

Aside from the steps you have noted, are you also removing the three *_ngg_* tables and all of the NextGEN Gallery entries in the WordPress database tables: wp_options, wp_postmeta, and wp_usermeta.

This should create a completely “fresh” instance to re-install NextGEN Gallery into … of course, the balance of your content, etc. should still be intact.

We also strongly recommend a full verified backup of the entire site before even considering database modifications.

Aha! I did not know. and now I will.

And I learned the hard way at the beginning of my WordPress life about back-ups. ??

Thank you for the quick reply.

I thought this would be a little more self-explanatory, I don’t have much experience with sql databases yet. I removed the three *-ngg-* tables but then don’t know what to remove from wp_options, wp_postmeta, and wp_usermeta. I see no *ngg* on those.

I tried the plugin again and it was all clear, but then nothing uploaded. I appreciate your help, I’ll donate personally if I can’t them to spring for the Pro.
