Completely Different Home Page From the Rest of the Website

I want to create a websites with an image slider as a landing page.

I already know how to make a different template but that only makes a page with no sidebars.

Basicaly I need the homepage to have a custom header, custom footer, well… everything needs to be custom.

I’ve been trying for the last few hours but the page breaks down.
