• Developing with WordPress 4.0 on WAMP server. Everything was fine until I attempted to activate WP-Portability. It completely destroyed my site. Days of work down the tubes.

    Hi RJRISO,

care to provide some more context as to what occurred on your site? If you can provide me some more information, I might be able to help salvage your site.

    • What steps did you take and/or where did the crash occur (on install, on activation or after taking a particular action, such as running the “insert shortcode” utility)?
    • What error messages do you receive (on the screen, in a log file)? If you only see a white screen, open the file wp-config.php (at the root of the WordPress install) find a line that says define('WP_DEBUG', false); and change the false to true
    • What other plugins are you running?
    • Where you performing a transfer from one server to another? If so, what steps did you follow to move the site?

If there is a bug, I am here to patch the plugin. If there is a misconfiguration, I can help you resolve it. Though, I would ask that you give us a chance to help you before giving up on the plugin (and your work on the site!).
