We were the ones who had to deactivate the block page, because this solution gives a lot of bounces and it’s not good for SEO (many visitors leave the site without clicking anything…).

A “Compliance Type” is missing to be perfect and to be like most Google Consent:
There should be an “Accept” button, a “Refuse” button and also allow the choice of Cookie Types (i.e. “Personalize”).
    Is it possible ?

    Hi,

I will see what I can do to make the buttons more flexible. But I really do not get what you mean by “no Consent GA4 tag is displayed.”

und nochmal zur best?tigung die button reihenfolge soll sein:

    1. save
    2. Allow
    3. deny

Below is an example of GA4 tags for configuring two buttons, 10 visitors:

    page_view 26
    user_engagement 26
    session_start 19
    first_visit 17
    allowall 14
    nochoice 14

Below is an example of GA4 tags for configuring three buttons, 12 visitors:

    page_view 24
    user_engagement 22
    allowall 19
    session_start 10
    first_visit 7
    nochoice 5

We can clearly see that the Nochoice tag is very weak, except when a visitor enters the site he systematically activates the Nochoice tag before accepting or refusing Cookies.

So with 3 buttons the behavior of the tags is not the same…

Furthermore, yes, the “Save” button should be on the right with the 3 other buttons, but first, that is to say just after the choice cursors – It’s logical, from left to right:
1 You adjust your choice with the cursors
    2 Save your choice
    3 We refuse
    4 We Accept

Except in your presentation the “Save” button is in the middle of “Refuse” and “Accept”

    Hi,

thanks for sharing those numbers, but can you actually say what you suspect is not working with the cookie banner? Because the cookie banner does not trigger directly the GA4 hits. So it depends also on the set up with GA4, and maybe you need to reconfigure your GA4 set up to work with the 3 button solution?

And in general user behaviour is different, when you change the layout of the banner or buttons of the banner. So it make sense to see different numbers, although the very low number you presented is statistically not representative.

And can you share additionally the page where you have the problem? Then I can have a better look at the set up. To sum up:

    1. What do you suspect is not working with the banner? As the banner is not responsible for your GA4 set up
    2. Please share the page you have problems with.
    3. Please share an full export of your banner settings.

As said, when a visitor enters the site he exclusively activates the Nochoice tag before accepting or refusing Cookies. So the quantity of Nochoice must be equal to the number of visitors (which was the case with 2 buttons).
It seems to be working this morning, I’ll keep an eye on it.
