Complianz banner + Burst statistics

    Hello, I installed both Complianz and Burst statistics. I have a message that says Bust Statistics will be automatically configured.

    But at present when I load the website for the first time I have already 1 cookie from Burst. Even if the “statistics” category isn’t pre-checked.

    So the question is: if I use only Burst Statistics for statistics, how should my cookie banner appear? Should I switch off the statisic cookie opt-in, and I will be ok with GDPR?

    Hi @chiarajolly,

    Burst Statistics ia a locally hosted, anonymized statistics tool. In some regions this can still be set prior to consent. You can either select Cookieless tracking in Burst to override this or block burst.js in the script center.

    If you have this issue in a region like Spain or Germany, could you post your URL so I can have a look. This should be configured automatically.

    So, if I
    -don’t refer to Spain or Germany
    -don’t want to use the cookieless tracking

    Could I hide the “statystic” cookie checkbox from my banner? Or should I set it as always active?

    Hi @chiarajolly,

    As Burst will be configured automatically, you could proceed with the wizard as if you didn’t install Burst. So only answer the Statistics question with ‘yes’ if you are using other statistics tools as well.

    Perfect, I selected “no” and the statystics section disappearend from the banner.
    But in my opinion you should put an option for Burst statystic ??

    @chiarajolly That’s good to hear.

    We implemented it this way because we know that Burst is still often used as a secondary statistics tool. We will discuss how we can prevent any confusion with the statistics setting. Thank you for the feedback!
