    Hi,

first off, thanks for the plugin!

Secondly, I’m a bit confused. I have a website with a youtube embed. When I click on youtube in integration, the blocking works just fine, the consent toggle works just fine. But as much as I scan, ComplianZ will not find the Cookies placed by Youtube and they aren’t reported in the Cookie Policy at all. This isn’t my first time using ComplianZ and previously this worked well.

At the moment I’m thinking about creating a Cookie Manually just so the use of Youtube as a service is reported in the Cookie Policy. Is this a problem after the recent update? Last week it all worked well.

    Thanks for a brief reply!

    Hi @tschwarz-1,

The Complianz cookie scan will only show first-party cookies and used services, which you can doublecheck by enabling integrations. When the YouTube integration is enabled, the synchronization with cookiedatabase.org will ensure that the Youtube cookies are listed on your Cookie Policy.

Could you please check if you have:
    – Enabled YouTube under Wizard -> Cookies -> Integrations
    – Enabled the cookiedatabase.org synchronization under Wizard -> cookies -> cookie scan

Then try synchronizing with cookiedatabase again under Wizard -> Cookies -> Cookie descriptions.

Let me know if this still doesn’t add the YouTube cookies to your Cookie Policy

    Leon

    Hi,

    thanks for your reply!

I did as you asked and verified the following:

    a) Youtube is enabled under Wizard -> Cookies -> Integrations
    b) The Cookiedatabase.org synchronization is enabled under Wizard -> Cookies -> Cookie Scan
    c) I synchronized again under Wizard -> Cookies -> Cookie descriptions

Youtube is still neither listed under “Cookie descriptions” nor shown in the cookie policy page. So, I’m sorry to report your suggested solution didn’t work.

I can, however, manually create Youtube Cookies by copying their names (without the other details from cookiedatabase.org) from inspection/application/cookies, and link them to the integration “Youtube”. Only *then* will a category Youtube be shown both in Cookie Descriptions and the Cookie Policy.

    Hi @tschwarz-1,

It is possible that the cookies won’t be synchronized if you had already created them manually.

Could you test if enabling another service under integrations, then synchronizing with cookiedatabase.org does add these cookies?

Hi! I tried and activated the Vimeo integration to see what happens.
After activating, I get a new entry under “Service descriptions” (Vimeo) but no entry (after synchronizing) under “Cookie descriptions” or in the cookie policy in the front end. Interestingly, the entry under “service description” shows the red circle arrow icon indicating that it has not been synchronized with the database, while the checkbox “synchronize with cookie database” that is visible in the service details is checked.

    Hi @tschwarz-1,

Do you mean like this? https://snipboard.io/jcQdFk.jpg

This happens in some configurations where translations will not update, let me know, we have a fix.

    regards Aert

Hi Aert, yes, that’s the red arrow Icon I mean.

You can see how the “sychronize” checkbox is checked but the red arrow indicates that it doesn’t synchronize.

    Thanks for your help!
