The Complianz plugin CSS styling is hiding AddToAny buttons. What can be done about this? What happens when two plugins have competing styling?

AddToAny is turned on in the Integrations area.

Okay, I turned it off in Integrations, saved it, then turned it back on and saved again, now the buttons are showing. Shouldn’t have to go through all that though, should you?

    Hi @jamminjames,

With the AddtoAny integration enabled, the sharing buttons will therefore be blocked until the visitor consents to the Cookie Banner.

After consent is provided, the buttons will load as expected once more (after which it is also able to set cookies etc).

    Kind regards, Jarno

Oh, I see. But I’m not seeing any cookie banner consent popup. And I’m not seeing the share buttons again. For a while I could, even though I never did the cookie consent thing, because it never popped up.

I set the banner appearance settings in setup. Just in case, I deleted cookies for the site, so the consent banner should popup, right?

    Hi @jamminjames,

I don’t have an URL to the site to verify the behavior for myself, so this is more of an educated guess:

But you might have the option “Respect Do Not Track settings in browsers” enabled in the plugin, found under Wizard > General > Security & Consent.

Meaning that if the plugin detects a Do Not Track signal from the browser (which browsers such as Firefox have enabled by default), the plugin will automatically assume all your cookie preferences to be “denied”, and doesn’t display a banner as a result.

Disabling that option in Complianz, or disabling the “Send a Do Not Track” option in your browser, will resolve this behavior and cause the banner to appear, if this is the case.

    Kind regards, Jarno
