    Hi there,

    Complianz creates a blank space over the place where the YouTube video is normally visible.

    1. when YouTube is enabled as a service in the Integration section, the video does not appear, but neither a placeholder will appear. In addition, the aforementioned blank space appears above the location where the video normally appears.

    2. if YouTube is disabled as a service, the video appears, but below the already mentioned blank space.

    3. Disabeling the Placeholder brings the same result (blank space).

    4. Deleting and reinstalling Complianz does not solve the problem.

    I use:

    Browser: Edge and Firefox, both the latest version
    Wordpress Theme: Audioman Pro (Catch Themes)
    Jetpack: performance and speed optimization

    If you need access to my wordpress installation with admin rights, please contact me.

    Please take care of it as soon as possible, because this cannot stay like that at all.

    Thanks + greetings

    Knut

    Hi @thunderfire,

    I have had a look at the website with Complianz Safe Mode activated, which effectively disables all of our integrations, and stops blocking scripts. So, Complianz is not modifying/blocking the YouTube video anymore, but the black space still remains in this case.

    Does this blank space still appear when you disable Complianz entirely under Plugins > Installed Plugins? If so, the problem likely has a different cause.

    Let me know if you have any additional information about this.
    Kind regards,
    Jarno

    Hi Jarno,

    `yes, the problem persists when I disable the Complianz plugin completely.

    But I still think that your plugin is causing this. Because I have a second wordpress installation with the same theme running at https://waterdomemusic.de, again with your plugin. Also here I got the black blank space with the YouTube videos.I could solve the problem by deactivating the YouTube service, but it didn’t work with linkyx. waterdomemusic.de. Here I could solve the problem by deactivating the YouTube service, but this didn’t work with linkyx.waterdomemusic.de.

    But it could also be a problem with the theme (Audioman Pro from Catch Theme).
    I’ll try to deactivate the theme and install the default WordPress theme.

    I’ll get back to you.

    I tried this again with the wordpress theme with the Complianz plugin enabled. Everything runs perfectly now even with the placeholders. However, I had to set this in the Complianz cookie settings so that the CCS handling is taken over by the (wordpress) theme.

    I’ll try again with the same settings in my Audioman theme and get back to you.

    So, now switched back to the Audioman theme with the same settings in Complianz:

    a) Placeholder okay…
    b) after agreeing to the marketing coookies or enabling all cookies, the YouTube video is displayed, but again with the black blank space above it.

    So it’s definitely an Audioman Theme issue and I need to contact them now. However, it would be better if you contact Catch Theme, because I don’t even know what to tell them, or what the problem is exactly.

    Hi @thunderfire,

    I just downloaded the free version of the Audioman Theme. If you add the below CSS to Appearance > Customize > Additional CSS, it gets rid of the blank space. But I haven’t been able to verify whether this has unintended side-effects, so please take note of this and make sure this is not the case.

    .wp-embed-responsive .wp-has-aspect-ratio .wp-block-embed__wrapper:before {
        display: none;
    }

    Hope it helps.
    Kind regards,
    Jarno

    Hi, I have the same problem using Divi + Complianz. Tried your code but it did nothing. When youtube is enabled in complianz integration setting it displays white creen over the video. I can run the video but still with that white screen over it.
