I seem to be missing the compose option. From the documentation it looks like it should be listed beneath subscribers, but I don’t have it (see below):

It’s also not listed in user roles:

I do have a templates option that doesn’t appear to be in the documentation screenshots, should I be using that instead?

I’ve already tried de-activating, removing, and reinstalling the plugin, but that didn’t help. My site is still in testing and I haven’t actually done anything with the module other than put a subscribe box on the front page.

This is very frustrating, many of our customers have called freaking out about the “Compose” button going missing. We figured out you renamed the menu option, however now, as I am trying to quell my customer issues, even I cannot get the damn emails to go out. Whose brilliant idea was it to rename the menu item? And if it was just a renamed menu, why are the functionality and options changed or otherwise not working? We have been dealing with this for a week now, and I hope you are working on getting it fixed. It used to work well, now we have unhappy customers. To quote Donald Trump, “This is just not, not really wonderful, not wonderful”.

Not only is compose option missing, but there is no documentation for the change, and no explanation how to send newsletters once they’ve been created in “templates” the WordPress and email subscriber interface is completely dominated by promotional banners requiring users to scroll down every screen before they can use it, yet not one mention of the changes that make it difficult or impossible to create and send email newsletters, the main purpose of the plugin. Shame on you, it’s been 2 weeks since the update. Fix it. Explain it. Update your help pages to display correct Instructions. It took me over an hour of my time to untangle. Have a little respect for your users.
