    wordpress-seo/vendor/composer/installed.php, autoload_static.php, autoload_real.php, autoload.php

These composer files have changed since updating to 20.7 and are a Development Version, What’s up with this?

I created up a new local environment, setup composer to install Yoast SEO with wpackagist, and installed version 20.6. I copied the folder to a safe location and upgraded to 20.7. After comparing the two versions for the files you mentioned, I don’t see anything that changed between the two versions to indicate a development version.

Please answer the following questions and provide any additional details that you might think will help us reproduce the issue.

    • What Yoast SEO version did you update from?
    • What do you see that indicates it’s a development version?
    • Which repository are you using to install/update Yoast SEO?
    • What environment type is the site using?
You can check under Admin > Tools > Site Health > Info > WordPress > Environment type

I didn’t take note of the previous version.

I noticed the difference when Wordfence alerted me to 4 Modified plugin files, see this View Wordfence Diff file.

Which repository: The plugin is set to auto-update.

    Environment type: Production.

P.S In reference to the Composer files, the version available via the Yoast SEO 20.7 Download button show as ‘version’ => ‘dev-main’. The “Development Version” available for download on the Advanced page shows as ‘version’ => ‘dev-trunk’. Neither show as ‘version’ => ‘20.7.0.0’.
