• Hi,
Today I tried to login to my webpage and it gave me an error:Composer detected issues in your platform: Your Composer dependencies require a PHP version “>= 7.2.5”.
I went to Globat.com (my hosting service) and when I logged in it asked me to update my PHP immediately. I uploaded it to 7.4.
Once I did that and tried to go to https://www.yukooda.com and it did not seem to fix the problem.
    Now it is saying:
There has been a critical error on this website.

    Learn more about troubleshooting WordPress.
And will not go to the page.
Could you please tell me what I can do to fix this?
    Thank you.
    Best,
    Yuko

You will have received an email with the precise error that happens.
Or, you can enable WP Debug in the wp-config.php file and visit the page again, to log the error to the error logs.

This will then allow further actions, since the error will tell precisely what happened, and where.
With this information we might then be able to go towards next steps and fix the problem.

Read more about WP Debug here.

Hi Beda, @bedas thank you. Here is the email that was sent to me. Please let me know what I need to do next!

    Howdy!

Since WordPress 5.2 there is a built-in feature that detects when a plugin or theme causes a fatal error on your site, and notifies you with this automated email.

In this case, WordPress caught an error with one of your plugins, MOJO Marketplace.

First, visit your website (https://www.yukooda.com/) and check for any visible issues. Next, visit the page where the error was caught (https://www.yukooda.com/wp-admin/) and check for any visible issues.

Please contact your host for assistance with investigating this issue further.

If your site appears broken and you can't access your dashboard normally, WordPress now has a special "recovery mode". This lets you safely login to your dashboard and investigate further.

    https://www.yukooda.com/wp-login.php?action=enter_recovery_mode&rm_token=d9zz1Pa59pDfVHAdU9gtM0&rm_key=56Z3yVj6ayIA0A8oMegKlI

To keep your site safe, this link will expire in 1 day. Don't worry about that, though: a new link will be emailed to you if the error occurs again after it expires.

When seeking help with this issue, you may be asked for some of the following information:
    WordPress version 5.7.2
Current theme: Clean Fotografie (version 1.3.1)
Current plugin: MOJO Marketplace (version 1.5.8)
    PHP version 7.1.1

Please contact your host if the upgrade to PHP is not in effect on your website. You may need to edit your .htaccess file.

Hi Steven @sterndata I just called Globat technical support right now.
They installed PHP7.3 because they said that PHP7.4 the only version that works with my site. They said I need to update my site in order to do that, but they can’t tell what part to update. But my site is now working, for now. How can I prevent this from happening in the future?

One or more of your plugins or your theme may have issues with 7.4. Keep everything up to date and check for obsolete plugins. Unfortunately, you’d need to enable debugging and update to 7.4 to see what’s causing the problem.
