I renamed my login url and then tried to login. I got a prompt saying the cookies need to be enabled in your browser to login. Can this be made optional? If yes, then how?

    Hi @dsketch

IF you are getting the prompt “Cookies are blocked or not supported by your browser. You must enable cookies to use WordPress”. It is by WordPress not AIOS plugin.

WordPress uses cookies for login please make sure your browser have cookie enabled. Let me know if cookies are enabled but still have the issue.

Thanks for the prompt response. Yes the issue still persists.

Also, at times, if I reload the page then I am able to login.

    Hi @dsketch

Please cross check your browser settings first..

if ok and then cross check you are not tyring login with http only and the site is running using https some times that is the issue,

Also please cross check with web hosting hope they do not block cookies.

Thanks again. I have done that and this issue just started to crop up a couple of days back only. I still get this error – “Error: Cookies are blocked or not supported by your browser. You must?enable cookies?to use WordPress.” In fact, I have ‘always allowed’ cookies specifically from my site in google chrome.

Also what I don’t get is the first time I try to login then this message appears. And when this message appears on the screen the username and password fields are empty. Then, if I refresh the page, even when I have not entered my username and password, the dashboard of my website appears. So how am I able to login without entering the username and password the second time around?

    Hi @dsketch

On refreshing second time it would postback old values of username and password so it is working according to me.

    Regards
