Concatenated URLs
-
Thank you for the nice plugin. It is, for the most part, working well. I’ve repeatedly seen two different types of error codes that are a bit strange.
1) I updated the notifications on a gravity form. The update worked; the form is fine but I get this error, from my IP address, in the 404 error log:
/wp-content/plugins/gravityforms/css/fonts/gravityfont.eot
Why is it giving me that error when everything seemed to work?
2) I am seeing 404 errors from what appear to be concatenated URLs. For instance:
/valid-page1/%20http:/mydomain.com/wp-content/uploads/valid-pictureA.jpg
/valid-page2/%20http:/mydomain.com/wp-content/uploads/valid-pictureB.jpg
And so forth
These errors will appear in a series from the same IP address but not from every IP address. There is no HTTP Referer indicated. The most recent indicates a user agent:
Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 7.0; Windows NT 6.1; WOW64; Trident/5.0; SLCC2; .NET CLR 2.0.50727; .NET CLR 3.5.30729; .NET CLR 3.0.30729; .NET4.0C; .NET4.0E; InfoPath.3; ms-office; MSOffice 14)
Another series has a user agent:
Mozilla/5.0 (iPhone; CPU iPhone OS 8_1_3 like Mac OS X) AppleWebKit/600.1.4 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/8.0 Mobile/12B466 Safari/600.1.4
Many people use the site without generating these error messages. Why are the messages being generated and what can I do about it?
Thank you for your assistance.
