• I’ve long been a fan of the Themed Login and Register Plugin, which allows you to customize the look of your member login, as well as the notices it sends to users.

However, the plugin has not been updated in about 2 years. Some things are not working correctly (for example, you are supposed to be able to change the “from” address from the standard [email protected] to anything you like, but in fact all this does is change the sender name of the email, not the address itself.)

Recently I visited James Kelly’s site, and noticed that the bottom of the page is filled with spam links to “Cheap Airline Tickets” links. It would appear his site has been hacked.

And I just allowed Automatic Update to update my copy of this plugin.

I am concerned about using this plugin now, since it seems the site has been hacked.

Does anyone know anything about this? Is James Kelly still around, or still updating his site? Is there a good alternative to his original plugin? It was incredibly useful…

It’s been a week, so I’m going to bump this and ask again…

Yes I would love to see this plugin work with 2.7 too!

Download either one of my plugins, SimpleLogin or Theme My Login. Theme My Login is just like James Kelly’s, but 2.7.1 compatible and much better. SimpleLogin is even better because it lets you login from anywhere within your site. Check em out!

Thanks for the heads up — will check it out!

Hi J fart hing (lol sorry had to do it) I can’t work out your plugin The previously mentioned one by Jame’s Kelly gives you options to put a header and footer in and then your login page gets force in between it and goes with your theme, how do you achieve this with yours?

I agree with James Kelly’s being out of date and the possibility of him never updating it so would rather use yours but need it to act more like his and rid of that naff wordpress login page…. make sense?

    huh?
with Theme my Login you configure it and that’s it – it uses your theme – no setting up headers or stuff
and you can redirect log ins wherever you want on your site

Will SimpleLogin or Theme My Login work with WordPress MU. I have multiple sites and would like for the plugin to work. Also, which one should I use. I need the forget password, login and register to use my custom theme. Also, I need the logout to redirect back to my custom theme login. I hope this makes sense.
