On my blog I have short and long posts, what I’d like is:

For long post: 1 small horizontal and 1 wide rectangle + an ad in the widget sidebar
For short post: 2 small horizontal + an ad in the widget sidebar

My idea was to create 3 types of ad, 1 = for the sidebar, 2 for the wide rectangle and 3 for the horizontal banners. Then I configured Adsense Explosion to show the big one only is the post has more than X characters.

My idea was, for long post Adsense Explosion will show the widget + the rectangle + the first small, ignoring the other ads; in case of a short post, it will skip the rectangle and show the two smalls.

Unfortunately, it seems that the ad in the widget sidebar is the last one to be shown on the screen, so my setup works correctly with short post, but not with the long ones.

Also it will be nice to have the possibility to exclude ads in post shorter that a certain length.

True, usually increases the number of ads in proportion to the length of the post.
But you want just the opposite.
At the time the plugin is not able to help you in this configuration.
    Sorry
