I would like to use this plugin with a Gravity Forms form on a WooCommerce site.
What I would like to achieve is the following ‘conditional approval’:-

    1. user fills out application form for wholesale account (I have a wholesale role defined on the site)
    2. status of user account is set to approval pending

All other account creation is normal. In this way the approval process would only be applied to users who have requested a ‘wholesale’ account. Users who buy products and checkout (and in doing so create an account with ‘customer’ role) would not be affected.

I have the neccessary Gravity Form setup with the User Registration add-on – just wanted to check if what I’m attempting can be done before I go any further.

actually just discovered that manual approval is a feature included within the Gravity Forms User Registration add-on, so that really answers my question. Hope that might help someone else with the same issue.

@paul – I’m trying to do the same thing as you (WooCommerce store with levels. I’d like normal registration through the checkout to auto-approve. Only if they register for a wholesale account through the gravity form would they go to pending), but I don’t see the manual approval in the gravity forms user registration add-on. Can you point me in the right direction?

In the User Registration add-on settings for the form (where you map the fields on your form to the user settings and user meta), at the bottom in ‘Additional Options’ check the box next to ‘User Activation’ and set the dropdown to ‘manually’.

    Hope that helps!

Wow. Can’t believe I missed that. Thankyou for taking the time to help me out!
