To enable COD or Cash on Delivery for shipping methods created by the Weight Based Shipping for WooCommerce plugin, follow the steps –
1) Go to WooCommerce->Settings, choose Shipping Tab. Create a Shipping Zone or choose an existing Shipping Zone.
2) Edit the Shipping Zone by hovering over the shipping zone in the Shipping tab.
3) Under ‘Shipping Methods’ list, hit the ‘Add shipping method’ button to add a shipping method to the zone.
Choose ‘Livemesh Weight Based Shipping’ as the shipping method for the shipping zone and hit the ‘Add shipping method’ in the popup window to assign a shipping method to the zone.
You can choose to rename the shipping method by editing the shipping method.
4) Go to WooCommerce->Settings and choose the Payments Tab. Under Payment Methods list, hit the ‘Manage’ button for the ‘Cash on Delivery’ line item.
5) In the Manage page for Cash on Delivery, ensure the ‘Enable cash on delivery’ is checked. Under ‘Enable for shipping methods’, choose ‘Livemesh Weight Based Shipping’ as the shipping method for which COD is enabled. You can choose other shipping methods too for which you want to use Cash on Delivery.
When you save the changes, the COD is automatically disabled for those shipping methods not explicitly chosen by you in the Cash on Delivery manage page.
Next when a user checkout occurs for the shipping zone and the ‘Livemesh Weight Based Shipping’ is the chosen shipping method, the Cash on Delivery is enabled for the shipment.
The COD option is not shown for other shipping methods available for those shipping zone and hence conditional Cash on Delivery is achieved.
