    Hi, community!
I just want to know if my idea can be coded in Woocommerce. If so, I am happy and will look for a specialized developer. But before I do that, I need to know the basics.

Here is what I want to do:
    1) I want to offer access to the shop from different QR codes. In order to keep it simple there are two different QR codes that bring you to the shop. Each QP code also contains additional information that has to be stored in a custom field within the shop. To keep it simple the custom fields might contain the information QR1 (if the user comes from QR code #1) and QR2 (if the user comes from QR code #2.)

    2) In the next step the users will buy someting and then go to the checkout. Remember that in their cart the additional information QR1 or QR2 is somewhere stored.

    3) Now the payment: If the custom field of the cart contains the information “QR1” then the customer is guided to a checkout that offers e. g. the payment in cash only, because it is a physical store. But in case it contains the information “QR2” then he will be guided to a different checkout that only offers to pay with a credit card, because it is the webshop.

If my idea can be coded, just tell me a simple “yes”. Further information (e.g. links) is interesting, but not needed. If it is impossible to do, please just tell me that, because in that case, I will look for another shop system.

    Thanks
    Raphael

  • Hi,

I am not a developer, however I understand you would like to implement QR codes and different checkout pages.

To create multiple Checkout you can add a [woocommerce_checkout] short code to each page, they can be used to simulate different Check out, however, please note that by default you will only be able to set a single one under WooCommerce > Settings > Advanced. That would be the one that any buttons (i.e. “Proceed to Checkout” from the Cart page) would point to when navigating into the site.

We do not provide support in our forum for customizations, but I found this web article that explains a workaround: Customize WooCommerce Checkout Fields Based on Products in Cart.

I recommend getting in touch with one of our vetted experts to get more information, WooCommerce Customizations Page.

    Hope this helps.
