Conditional content based on language GLT selection
-
Hi Rob,
Nice plugin!
I have a 1-page site with the translator tool implemented as a floater at the bottom. Everything works fine. My challenge is showing a specific video based on the language selection the user makes with GLT.
For instance a user might translate the page to Chinese so it would make common sense that the user is served up a Chinese version of the video on the page rather than the English one that loads when the page is loaded by default (and prior to the user translating it).
Multilingual versions of the video have been created for this purpose but I’m unfortunately lost as to how to implement this with GLT.
I see translation click-events call doGoogleLanguageTranslator() but thats an imported script from you guys. The plugin is however initialized locally and I was wondering if there was a way I could use a variable that’s passed along to put an if-then conditional statement to implement this? If you any any better ideas, boy would I be grateful!
The website is not yet online but its stock standard WP4.0 with OneEngine theme.
Your time and any assistance is appreciated!
